Greetings Class of '85 and Friends.
It is with great excitement and pride that I write to you on behalf of the organizing committee for the 40th anniversary reunion of Jamaica College's graduating Class of 1985. This milestone event is an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable journey we’ve all shared since our days walking the hallowed halls of this great institution at "189". It is hard to believe that four decades have passed since we last gathered collectively as students, yet the memories, enduring friendships, lessons learned and the indelible mark from our time at Jamaica College remain with us to this day.
Since the 40 years, we have ventured into the world, contributing to society, building families, and forging careers, all while carrying the spirit of Jamaica College with us. So this year, we celebrate not just the passing of time, but the strong bond we continue to share as alumni of one of Jamaica’s finest institutions.
As we commemorate this significant occasion, we invite you to join us in reconnecting with old friends, reflecting on our experiences, and looking forward to the future.
Our reunion promises to be a memorable event filled with laughter, excitement, nostalgia, reflection, fun and honoring the traditions that make Jamaica College such a special place. We are working hard to ensure that this celebration will be a fitting tribute to the legacy we all share. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing more details. But in the meantime, we encourage you to mark your calendars (October 24-27, 2025), as we hope to see as many of you as possible.
If you have any questions or would like to get involved with the planning, please do not hesitate to reach out to members of the planning committee. Let’s make this 40th reunion an event to remember, showcasing the enduring pride we have in our alma mater.
Looking forward to the gathering as a community of Old Boys, to strengthen our ties, and to honor the institution that has played such a vital role in shaping our lives.
Collegium floreat, fervet opus in campis (May the College flourish, work is burning in the fields).
